How to see your photo on your wall before you print it
Ordering a print without knowing how it will look on your wall is the main reason people hesitate. The free photo wall visualiser solves this two ways: a wall scene that lets you visualise your photo in a room at the correct scale, and augmented reality that places it on your actual wall using your phone camera. Step 1: Upload your photograph
- Go to the wall visualiser.
- Tap or click Choose a photo and select your image from your camera roll or file browser. JPEG, HEIC, PNG and most RAW formats are accepted.

Step 2: See it on a wall scene
The wall scene composites your framed print into a room photograph at the correct proportions. Use the size controls to switch between sizes — the frame rescales in real time so you can compare A3, A2 and A1 side by side, or dial in a custom size that fits your wall precisely.
Using a preset room scene
A room scene loads automatically after upload. Scroll through the available scenes to find one that loosely matches your space — similar wall colour, ceiling height, or room type. Preset scenes are useful for getting a quick read on whether a size feels right before you go further.
Uploading a photo of your own room
For a more accurate result, upload a photo of your own room — the actual wall where you plan to hang the print. This lets you see exactly how the print will look in your home, with the correct wall colour, ceiling height, and relationship to your furniture. It’s the closest thing to holding the print up to the wall before you order.
- Tap the room scene, then select Upload your own room.
- Take a photo of your wall or choose one from your camera roll. Photograph it straight-on — a slight angle is fine, but avoid steep perspective.
- Drag the calibration handles to mark the area where the frame should appear. Position them at the corners of the space you have in mind.
- Confirm, and your framed print appears composited into your room at the right scale.
Even indoor lighting is fine for the room upload — the compositing process adjusts for the ambient light in your photograph.
Step 3: Place it on your wall with augmented reality
Augmented reality is different from the wall scene composite. Where the wall scene overlays your print onto a photograph, AR uses your phone camera live and renders the frame at its true physical dimensions in your real space. Point your phone at your wall and see your framed photo appear on it at full scale — if you select A1, you see exactly 84 × 59 cm, not an approximation.
How to use it on iOS and Android
Requires iOS 12+ (Safari) or Android with ARCore support (Chrome). No app download required.
- After previewing in the wall scene, tap View in AR. Your browser opens the AR view directly — there is nothing to install.
- Point your camera at the floor near the wall you want to use. Move slowly side to side while keeping the floor in view. This allows your device to detect the surface.
- Once the surface is detected — usually within a few seconds — the frame appears. Tap to anchor it to the wall.
- Drag the frame into the exact position you have in mind.
- Step back 2–3 metres to check proportions at a natural viewing distance.
Tips for the best result
Good lighting helps AR tracking.
Flat, even indoor light works best. Direct sunlight behind you or a very dim room makes surface detection slower. If the frame won't anchor, try turning on a ceiling light.
Photograph your wall straight-on for the room upload.
A slight angle is fine. A steep perspective makes the calibration handles harder to place accurately and the composite will look skewed.
Step back after placing the AR frame.
The natural viewing distance for a living room print is 2–3 m. What looks right at arm's length may feel different from the sofa — which is where it will actually live.
Compare two sizes in the wall scene before opening AR.
Switching between A2 and A1 in the wall scene is faster than doing it in AR. Narrow it down first, then confirm at true scale.

Do I need to download an app to use AR?

How accurate is the AR scale?
The frame is rendered at the exact physical dimensions of the size you have selected — if you choose A1, you see 84 × 59 cm on your wall. Accuracy depends on your device's surface detection. Most phones manufactured from 2018 onwards are within a centimetre.
Can I use AR before I have ordered?

What if the AR frame won't appear?
Surface detection needs a few seconds and some texture to lock on to. Point your camera at the floor near the base of your wall and move slowly side to side. Avoid pointing directly at a plain white floor — a rug or wooden floor nearby helps the camera find its bearings.
Can I see how a photo print will look in my living room or bedroom before buying?
